Mommy went swimming in Harrison Lake (freezing!) while daddy and I drank on the beach. 20-Mile Bay was a special place for them before they had me. They spent many, many weekends boating, camping, 4-wheeling, and partying there. It’s a giant, glacier-fed lake with pretty little islands and coves, surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

Wreck Beach was definitely a highlight… we rented a giant umbrella and people-watched. After we huffed and puffed up the stairs, mommy and daddy couldn’t walk for days, their calves hurt so badly! We are terribly out of shape.
Back in Santa Cruz, mommy and I soaked up the sun on the deck of the boat… relishing the final days before her return to work. Now we’re just spending weekends together, but we make the most of them! Mommy walks me at least 6 miles a day, either in my stroller or the Baby Bjorn. I don’t cry if she keeps moving!

I finally met Lovely Auntie Leti during her visit from St. Kitts. We all hung out at the beach, and then Jeff and daddy caught dozens of sardines for dinner. The harbor was so full of them that when we’d we lay in bed at night, we’d hear the torpedos of pelicans feasting!

Wow!!! You have so much excitement in your life, ever day it’s a brand new adventure. You’re growing so fast and you smile all the time. I know you miss your Mommy during the week but……not every kid gets to have their Daddy at home taking care of them. You are so loved. Uncle Ryan we went to Burning Man but he really missed your Mommy and Daddy. He said it wasn’t the same without them. So Uncle Ryan hopes that when you are a bit older you will be able to pack your bag and go to Burning Man with your Mom and Dad to meet Uncle Ryan there and have lots of fun. Uncle Ryan’s Momy said if there is anytime that you don’t want to go somewhere with your Mommy and Daddy just say the word and she would love to baby sit you. Even if it’s for a couple of hours. She wants to be a Grandma real bad.;). I heard that you are getting a visit from your Uncle Devin and Auntir Wendy. I bet you are hoping she brings the crayons and coloring books. She is the best at coloring and she even shares her stuff. Pretty good huh?
Well that’s it for now little one. Take care give your Mommy and Daddy lots of smuggles and as usual I will be looking for your next big adventure.
Big hugs,
Auntie Heather
It was great to finally meet you too! I have a few photos of us strolling about town, I’ll send them to your mom so she can share them with you. Can’t wait to go back, I miss you all!
